Love Slug

Whoa, a blast from the past coming to me from "down under". As some of you may know, in high school, I was in a punk band called "Love Slug". Now, some guy in Australia is selling our first and only vinyl recording on ebay. I hadn't seen the cover to that ep in so long. I think we were trying to go for a "classic" look with that cover, if I remember correctly the cover image was of a relief carving from Dante's Inferno, an odd choice for a bunch of seventeen year olds in a punk band in suburban Maryland. See the ebay listing for yourself. I still stand by those songs, they rock!

i went to high school in central virginia just outside of lynchburg with a kid named craig moreland from annapolis. he had a love slug demo tape that i dubbed from him. it probably predates the vinyl. i remember "elvis is a punk", "milk", "blood and altar", "i want to be a redneck", i'm not sure what else. that might've been it. and 'lo and behold, i googled love slug and your blog holds the only key. "i wasn't cut out for no 9-5 desk job! just gimme my 18 wheels and the open road! yeah!"

Was just singing the milk song and decided to look up love slug and lo and behold, your blog. I think you used to hang out with my brother, Eric Brown (TV). Hope all is well.

I am here to see the love slug band as a result of a comment on my blog. It is slug related. I am glad to have been sent here! I would bet the music rocks. That same guy in Australia who had this album also probably owns one of Snotty Scotty and the Hankies albums too. It is an old punk band from Pasadena, CA who still plays from time to time.

I wish I could find the love slug outside joke cassette, I had it but it was lost over the years. I do have oversoul on limited blue vinyl pressing I think there's 300 made. I lived in Bowie Maryland at the time and was dear friends with Matt and Mason Butts which Mike their older brother was the lead singer.
