Kill it? For all those who suggested that....Do we kill people born with one eye, arm, leg, etc? It's a part of nature, let nature take its course. As far as kids being scarred for life seeing it, they can be just as easily scarred by ignorance - kill it b/c it's different?!

I find it very interesting just as I would any other living creature with a deformity. In it's own way it is cute, but in no way would I think it should be killed. What about twins who are joined at the head, hip? Humans and animals born without a limb? The kitten with the one eye is a rare sight. She looks cute although. I feel pity for the kitten. She will most likely endure some form of teasing from unsympathetic people in her life(assuming she has not passed away yet.)

The kitten had a documented disease called Holoprosencephaly. In the more severe cases of this disease the cat is born with no nose and a single large eye where the nose was supposed to be. It has occured many times before. The family that the kitten was born to tried to care for it by feeding it a special formula through a syringe, but it hardly lasted through the night and died the next morning. Moreover, the pictures have been verified many times over. It is a truly sad case.

Wow. That poor creature had to survive a whole day without a nose, and a really big eye that was probabally very sensitive. It's not cute in a way that i'm used to(who is used to this kinda thing) but it has an innocence that made me glad it died so that it wouldn't have had to suffer all the poking and prodding, and it would have had unneeded pain.
